Limited Lifetime Residential Warranty

We stand behind the materials and workmanship that go into every residential floor we coat. This warranty explains what is covered, how coverage transfers, and how to request service. We review claims fairly, give homeowners the benefit of the doubt, and work with you to resolve concerns.

At a glance

  • Interior concrete (garages, basements): covered for as long as you own the home.
  • All exterior concrete, covered or uncovered (porches, patios, steps, pool decks): 3 years from installation.
  • Coatings on wood: not covered by this written warranty.
  • Transfers once to the next homeowner, at no charge. The new owner emails info@polyproscoatings.com within 60 days of closing.
  • Commercial floors get their own written terms for each project.
  • Past customers filing a claim: from the third anniversary, minor spot repairs outside the warranty cost no more than $100 per visit, all-in.
  • No registration needed. Need service? File a warranty claim.

The full terms below control. If anything in this summary reads differently, the terms below apply.

1. Coverage and effective date

This warranty applies to residential coating installations we complete. Coverage begins when installation is complete and the project has been paid in full. Separate warranty registration is not required for the original purchaser. The installation completion date starts all coverage periods.

We cover peeling, chipping, blistering, fading, discoloration, and delamination caused by defects in our installation or coating materials. Covered repairs include the labor, preparation, and materials needed to correct the affected area at no charge to the homeowner.

For interior concrete surfaces, coverage continues for as long as the original purchaser owns the property, subject to the one-time transfer described below. All exterior concrete surfaces, including covered or uncovered porches, patios, steps, and pool decks, receive three years of coverage from the original installation completion date. Coatings applied to wood have no coverage under this written warranty.

This warranty covers the installed coating system. It does not guarantee that the underlying concrete will remain free of cracks, movement, or deterioration. Those conditions are addressed in Section 4.

2. One-time transfer to a new homeowner

The original purchaser may transfer this warranty once to the next homeowner at no charge. The new homeowner must email us within 60 days after the property closing date and provide their name, contact information, installation address, and proof of ownership.

After a valid transfer, interior coverage continues for as long as that homeowner owns the property. Exterior coverage continues only for the remainder of its original three-year term. Coverage does not restart, and no additional transfer is available. Renting the property does not itself transfer coverage to a tenant.

If transfer notice is late, contact us. We will review available ownership and installation records in good faith rather than automatically reject the request solely because of the delay.

3. How covered repairs are handled

We will inspect the concern and repair or replace the affected coating as needed to correct a covered defect. An isolated defect does not automatically require replacement of the entire floor. If a larger area must be repaired to correct the defect, that necessary work is included at no charge.

We make reasonable efforts to match the existing finish. Repaired areas may differ in color, texture, flake distribution, or sheen because of material variations and aging. Repairs remain covered for the balance of the applicable original warranty period; they do not restart that period.

4. Conditions outside warranty coverage

The following exclusions apply only to damage caused by the condition described. A noncovered issue in one area does not cancel coverage for an unrelated defect elsewhere. Ordinary use of the surface for its intended residential purpose does not, by itself, void this warranty.

Concrete cracks and movement. Cracks that exist before installation or develop afterward, including cracks that reopen through previously repaired areas because of settling, ground movement, or expansion and contraction, are not covered. Crack filling does not guarantee that concrete will stop moving or that a crack will never return. We do service cracks. A separate coating or repair-material failure caused by defective materials or our workmanship is still evaluated under the coverage in Section 1.

Underlying concrete and moisture. Damage caused by structural failure, deterioration of the underlying concrete, water intrusion, moisture vapor pressure, or hydrostatic pressure is not covered when the cause is an underlying building or site condition rather than a defect in our preparation, installation, or coating materials.

Physical damage and ordinary wear. Scratches, gouges, abrasion, impact damage, dragging heavy objects, sharp metal edges, nails, screws, and ordinary wear from use are not covered unless the damage results from a covered installation or product defect.

Heat and incompatible substances. Damage caused by fire, flame, excessive heat, or incompatible chemicals is not covered. Chemical resistance does not mean resistance to every substance or unlimited exposure. Follow our care instructions and clean up spills promptly. Surface staining from spills, hard water, mineral deposits, or other contaminants is not a coating defect.

Weather and external events. Normal weathering and gradual appearance changes from environmental exposure are not covered. Fading or discoloration caused by defective coating materials or installation remains covered during the applicable term. Damage caused by flooding, windstorms, lightning, vandalism, or other events outside our installation and materials is not covered.

Alterations and repairs by others. Damage caused by incompatible coatings, unauthorized alterations, or improper repairs performed by others is not covered. Unrelated portions of the installation remain covered. Reasonable emergency measures to prevent further damage do not automatically void coverage; notify us as soon as reasonably possible.

5. Courtesy repairs outside warranty coverage

We are available to help with accidental damage, wear, and other concerns even when they are outside this warranty. We review each request fairly and explain any charge before work begins. Noncovered work is not automatically free during the first three years, but we may reduce or waive a charge as a goodwill service.

For past customers who file a claim, beginning on the third anniversary of installation, minor localized coating repairs are capped at $100 total per service visit, all-in. This applies to spot repairs that do not require extensive coating removal, concrete restoration, or recoating an entire floor section. A floor section means a distinct area bounded by walls, joints, or the edge of the installation.

Work requiring those larger repairs is considered major damage and may exceed $100. We will explain the scope and provide a written price for your approval before beginning chargeable work. This benefit follows the ownership and transfer terms in Section 2 and continues after exterior coverage expires. Covered defects remain free to repair during their coverage period.

6. Homeowner care and access

Follow the written cure times and care instructions we give you. Allow the coating to cure before foot traffic, vehicle traffic, cleaning, or replacing belongings. Use appropriate cleaning products, remove spills promptly, and avoid dragging sharp or heavy objects across the surface. Contact us if you need another copy of the instructions.

A maintenance issue affects coverage only to the extent it caused or worsened the damage. Provide reasonable access for inspection and repair, and move vehicles and personal belongings from the agreed work area before service.

Slip-resistant additives improve traction but cannot eliminate slipping. Water, snow, ice, oil, and other contaminants can make coated surfaces slippery. This coating warranty does not insure against slips, falls, or resulting injuries and does not waive any legal rights the homeowner may have.

7. Requesting warranty or repair service

To submit a warranty or repair claim, visit polyproscoatings.com and follow the online claim process. Complete the required information and upload any photos or supporting details requested. Our team maintains installation records in our customer management system, so homeowners do not need to complete a separate installation record or submit a paper claim form.

Report concerns promptly, preferably within 30 days after you discover them, so we can help prevent further damage. A late report alone does not automatically cancel an otherwise covered claim. Additional damage that could reasonably have been prevented by timely reporting or reasonable protective steps may fall outside coverage.

We will review the information, arrange an inspection when needed, explain our findings, and coordinate any repairs with you. Scheduling depends on the repair scope, access, weather, and product application conditions. If a repair is not covered, we will explain why and obtain your approval of any charge before proceeding.

8. Warranty remedies and legal rights

The remedy provided by this written warranty is repair or replacement of the affected coating as described above. To the extent permitted by applicable law, this written warranty does not cover loss of use of the coated area or incidental or consequential losses arising from a coating defect. This limitation does not exclude liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Nothing in this warranty disclaims implied warranties or reduces rights or remedies provided by applicable law that cannot lawfully be limited. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so that limitation may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.

This warranty is part of the installation agreement. Receiving service does not require the homeowner to waive rights provided by law.
